SIRCONTEC lightweight concrete presently finds its application mainly in horizontal building structures. It is used for making levelling layers of floors and gradient layers of flat roofs.
SIRCONTEC lightweight concrete (LC) meets the function of filling material in both areas and it is not declared as a structural component.
SIRCONTEC LC may be combined with thermal insulation components in both floors and roofs. SIRCONTEC recommends using panel polystyrene for its lower absorption capacity compared to mineral fibre panels.
Floor and roof structures containing SIRCONTEC LC have been proven in practice even in the most demanding projects and the oldest applications have been in operation for more than 10 years.
SIRCONTEC LC also finds its application in lightweight ceiling structures where trapezoidal metal sheets as a load bearing component levelled with e.g. cellular concrete PBG 50 are combined with application of next layers like for a standard floor of civic buildings.
